As an "average Democrat," explain to me why I should be concerned about the rightward lurch of the court, or destruction of the climate? I mean, I can still buy Halloween-themed Reese's Cups and name-brand sneakers, and there are no homeless people or pregnant teenagers directly in my field of view right this second.
Well, the court's a dead letter for a generation or two barring some sort of Pelican Brief scenario, and there's a limited window for that, so no point worrying about that.
Coincidentally, when I was writing this piece I ran across a study looking at how to communicate about climate change with people who are either complete deniers or skeptical about the man-made part. We may have to Pelican Brief their asses too.
Damn Gmail put this in in the promotions folder, again (yes, I asked it nicely not to). No wonder I wasn't seeing your emails. And this was after I did a search and actually opened a bunch of them. You would think that would be enough, but NO.
Oh, and SCOTUS has been listing starboard ever since Bush v. Gore did what Trump has been desperately trying to do (with the help of his brain-dead sycophants) for the past two years. But then, you knew that.
I've had trouble with that too. Email from the same person will arrive in multiple different mailboxes on different days. I don't want email from people I like winding up in the Trump file.
Yeah, that was the end of the court as an institution to be taken seriously other than as a political vehicle.

Hmmm. Might have to reread at an earlier time.
