I'm waiting to see if some of the "fired" Federal employees, including those in the DOJ, challenge their firing under the civil service protections.

I'm sure they will, but I'm not betting it'll turn out better than the USDA inspector general who challenged her firing and got escorted out of the building by "security agents."

I don't think she's gone to court. I hope she and others like her do. You want wrenches in the machinery: court orders can be wrenches.

Is the "tired diplomatic paradigm" the one where Israel bombs the fuck out of Gaza, declares and cease-fire, and then starts bombing again a few days later? Man, that's tired.

Yes, the notion that Palestinians have the right to 1) live and 2) where they want is so passé, so yesterday, so 19th century.

Trump announces a new plan, everyone has a hissy fit, then one of his mooks shuffle outside (and mooks is gender neutral) to attack a branch of government or an agency that helps people making less than $200,000 that Elon wants to kill. Experts point out that the plan is illegal, a judge issues a delay and he backs off a little.

That's the pattern. The press spokesthing or a Cabinet guy blames a Democrat for spending on something shady w/o any proof or who was involved. Then they target something else, rinse and repeat. So boring.

Yes, people will die and we gotta defend them. Otherwise, it's the same old shit and I'll need to see him dissolve Congress or the courts to get to 5 alarm worries.
