Some good news:
The Biden administration is moving forward with an overhaul of several student debt forgiveness programs, aiming to make it easier for borrowers to get relief if they are duped by their colleges or if they put in a decade of work as public servants.1
The Education Department on Monday finalized a package of rules that it proposed earlier this year. The new rules take hold in July and are separate from President Joe Biden’s sweeping student debt forgiveness plan, which has been held up in court amid a legal challenge from Republican-led states.
Trump had made debt forgiveness from fraudulent colleges more difficult. One can’t imagine why. The story is on Yahoo. Don’t read the comments.
Are you a film photographer? At some point this community might warrant consideration.2
Grainery works pretty simply. They’re a social service website with an app still in development as of writing this article. You make a profile, and then start uploading film photos. When you upload a photo, you’re supposed to say what camera was used, what lens, and what film. Then you can add things like the location, tags, and a caption.
The blurb is a bit painful to read but it’s a good idea, what with film coming back a bit and other photography sites too large or too stupid or both (Instagram) to be manageable. Maybe I’ll find something describing it better later.
Grainery update: it looks pretty cool without the clumsy review interpolated.3
Haha, shithead.4
The Supreme Court declined on Tuesday to block a subpoena for Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham to testify in front of an Atlanta special grand jury investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
There were no public dissents from the order.
The South Carolina senator had filed an emergency request asking the justices to halt the testimony – currently scheduled for November 17 – while legal challenges play out.
Graham will now have to appear for testimony, although he will have room to object to certain questions as they come up, meaning the scope of his testimony or responses could be limited.
Well, you know: why not?5
Not much music today since I wasn’t planning on writing anything: “Somewhere Beautiful,” from The Chills.
That, comrades, is all I got. Be well, take care.
Debt relief from fraudulent colleges: does the name, DeVos, ring a bell?
On one of these slow days maybe you could look at my essay re: oil

don't feel obligated, I don't know if you entertain those kinds of requests.
