Good Crow, Bad Times

This is not my beautiful house

Times are tough. Things are bad. People are stupid. The press are through the looking glass. Politicians take the pith; a rare few take the piss; a fair few take the 5th. I pretty much just sit here and write.

Why subscribe? Why pay?

Subscriptions are an easy way to keep up with what I’m doing, if you like what I’m doing. Unsubscribing is just as easy if you don’t.

A paid subscription to my newsletter doesn’t get you any special access to special content via email or on the site, at this point. You’ll get the same content and access as people who can’t afford or don’t want to pay, because I’m a socialist. Really you’re just contributing to my well-being because, presumably, you like what I write. (Or maybe you just want to send me money; I can’t read your mind, you know.)

The exception to this is that if you want to be what Substack calls a founding subscriber, which means somebody who chooses to pay more than the annual subscription price, then once a year you can pick any one of my photos from the newsletter/posts and I’ll send you a good print of it or a high-quality digital copy, as you prefer. Heck, if you go with a digital copy you can pick two or three.

And that’s the hard sell. Let me know (weldon.berger@gmail.com) if there’s anything in particular you would like me to write about. If you do, I might. Hope to see you on the intertubes.

Give it a try if you’ve not already!
